She then focused her acting career then entirely on the stage where she appeared in a variety of London theatre productions. By the late 1990s, she had formed an acting school with her teaching, writing plays, and performing in one-women stage productions.

William Frederick Bell (born 14 March 1901, Bognar Regis, West Sussex, UK) was a well-known makeup artist for stage and screen. After qualifying at the Max Factor School of Makeup in the UK, he worked alongside Tom Shenton on the 1937 production of "Knight without Armour", produced by London Films Inc., directed by Jacques Feyder, starring Marlene Dietrich and Robert Donat. He emigrated to South Africa in 1938 to take up a position at Killarney Film Studios, (African Film Productions (AFP), where he remained for four decades. In the late 1970's, William retired from Killarney but continued to work on a freelance basis. He died on 7th November 1992 in Bryanston, Johannesburg at the age of 91.
